Fashion Plug

Today I'm looking at this style of fashion that I always seem to love (not photos above) but never seem to be able to buy it for myself....Then it dawns on me when I'm in the store surounded by the style i'm talking about I don't buy it....why is that? Cost? Maybe....

Then it dawns on me...it doesn't suit me! I've been trying to obtain something that I though was a style sense but turns out its the colours that get in my way. I've only come to this realisation after previously reading Colour me Confident recently re released under another name I think.
But this wasn't the crazy book that came out in the 1980's colour me beautiful.
It helps reviel the top complimentary colours for 6 different skin eye and hair coloured peoples groups. They have one for me finally! In the 1980s on it was all funny not really a practical guide. But this one feels more like what a personal stylists does already on all their clients; Pick colours that really bring out the persons features not look like the clothes are wearing them. I have to testify that it is absolutley true, some colours you can wear with no aided makeup hairstyling etc and you'll look vibrant while others may get you mistakenly taken to the morge (or the nut house). In your teens and twenties it is accepted to make fashion mistakes that could be mistaken for a costume or worse. SEE PHOTOS ABOVE

But I'm hearing more and more that by the 25 comes around that you really need to look like you have sense otherwise people start second guessing your sanity. In some way you'll need some togetherness about yourself.
But as an adult we really dont live our lives around the actions and reactions of others. However, I'm not going to be first in line to jump on trying to prove that I lack the maturity to start to follow my own fashion sense instead of other peoples.
I encourage you stop looking in the mags for your style but find out your own first then shop with that knowledge.
